A Year in Quilts 2015

I love seeing what other quilters have done throughout the year.  Like those year-end news stories that show the highlights of the past year, looking back at quilting progress is so interesting!  Sometimes it can feel like we are not making much progress, until you actually look at what you have accomplished.  Always a good feeling!
I hope you will indulge me as I take a step back and share some of my stitches of 2015.
Here is a stack of UFO quilts that finally were completed in 2015.  Wahoo!!!!  I picked up the last of these from my machine quilter right before year's end.
Some photos of the quilts above that were finished in 2015.  Some were pieced years earlier (in various stages), but all now are quilted and ready for binding!
I completed 4 blocks from the My Enchanted Garden quilt.
You probably remember the Stars In A Time Warp quilt-along.  I ended up with 72 star blocks!
I also made 5 blocks for the Bountiful Life quilt and decided on a final layout of 16 of the 20 original blocks in the quilt. I am very happy to now have all my blocks done for this quilt.  Next onto the borders!
There also was a baby quilt completed.  Hard to believe Brilyn is almost 5 months old already!
This was a fun summer project called The Stacks.  The pattern is by Karen Griska.
And I finally finished the Lil' Baskets quilt - quilted and bound too!
I worked on the blocks for my Audrey's Flowers quilt. These are so much fun!
And I also participated in the Rainbow Scrap Challenge 2015... for at least 7 months! LOL  I didn't finish the challenge, but I got a lot of hexies done!
Whew!  It is amazing when you step back and look at what you have done in a year's time.  I also wonder where the year went - time flies!

Lucy is exhausted after all of that and just wants to know when we can nap....  on one of Mommy's quilts, of course.

Thank you, all my dear readers, for taking this journey with me and for all your wonderful comments throughout the year!

Happy Stitching in 2016!

Deb

  1. Gosh I can't believe what you have achieved in 2015 - wonderful finished quilts and blocks in the process as well! I can see I am sadly lagging behind in the roundup of quilts in 2015 from lords of the quilters whose blogs I follow, I shall have to get my act together this year!!! Big Time!!! Congratulations.
