It's been a really busy week, plus we were away last weekend. So, not a lot of time in blogland. I know I have missed some posts from my blog friends and I've really missed seeing what you all have been up to. So I will try my best to catch up!
Working on my lap in the car. |
Luckily I am able to stitch in the car, so I was able to get my hexies done last Saturday for the RSC this month. It was hard to pick which yellow fabrics I wanted to use - there are so many pretty ones!
Since we were at the beach for the weekend, I decided to lay out the finished hexies in a sun shape and use some shells and beachy decos to enhance my photo. :-)
I took all of my hexies and put them on the coffee table just to see what they looked like together. And while they are not in the order that they will be in the finished table runner, the sure look pretty together!
Spring has peeked out from behind her parka and mukluks this week and it hit 60 degrees on Wednesday. Yay!
Hopefully this scene last week from my kitchen window was the last for the winter of 2014/2015.
These hexies make me just feel like Spring!!
Happy Stitching,
Deb
Linking up at So Scrappy for the RSC2015 linky party. Check out all the yellow projects going on!
Your hexies look so sunny and happy, a real contrast to your kitchen window view!
ReplyDeleteThe hexies do look ready for spring. As pretty as the snowy view is, hopefully it will be gone soon.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fabrics; this is going to be a great table runner.
ReplyDeleteIt was nice that the last snow was so pretty...and your hexies remind me of the daffodils I hope to be seeing soon.
ReplyDeleteYour hexies look great together!
ReplyDeleteYour hexies are looking wonderful. Great job!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love the photo with all of your hexies together. They are just lovely. The snow pic is just lovely too...glad it's there though and not here. Ours is finally melting.
ReplyDeleteLovely hexies!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful hexies. It's going to be a very colorful table runner.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you, I'm hoping we are done with the snow for this winter.
Hexies look great -- our snow has gone and we do NOT want it back.
ReplyDeleteNice to have a project to take along on a trip. Such beautiful yellow fabrics in your hexies.
ReplyDeleteLove your hexies. Beautiful colors and prints.
ReplyDeleteThose hexies sure do look like spring. I love the colors.
ReplyDeleteGreat fabrics for those hexies. A runner is a good idea! Years ago I made Christmas wreath ornaments using this method; haven't done any more since, and now they are popular again. Brrr, on the pic; my daughter FaceTimed me on Friday night when she went out to check on our house--I'll be staying down here in Florida until that white stuff is all gone!! The poor East has been just hammered this year.
ReplyDeleteI love the look of your hexies all laid out together! So pretty! Sure hope all that snow goes away soon and that you won't find much damage afterwards.
ReplyDeleteOh what a super display of your colourful hexies - makes me want to hunt out my papers!
ReplyDeleteYour hexagons look so good together! The view from your window was beautiful, but I know you will be glad to see spring.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful snow picture ..... hopefully it will just be a memory until next winter for you =) Your hexies looks great.
ReplyDeleteOh, your hexie work is lovely! We need a shot of summer color this time of year.
ReplyDeleteJulie
I love how you are putting the hexagons together in color sets like that! I had a couple of flowers I could have put together. I doubt I get to it though. I chose another yellow project for this month and have another one in mind that I hope to start tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteAren't hexi's the BEST travel project!! So glad you had a enjoyable weekend...the beach...sounds nice!
