I am happy to report that I finally saw my first robin this past week... an absolute sign of Spring here in the Northeast! While cooler temperatures have still prevailed, the sunlight has definitely changed and it looks more and more like Spring in the yard and in the flower beds. Flowering bulbs and trees can't be far behind! In my own inside garden, I have been working on flowers and leaves in the 8th block of the Sweet Sixteen quilt.
Here is my progress so far. I am really going to enjoy stitching those tulips! Lucy, of course, always has to inspect my work!
I was also able to make a path to my sewing machine (can't keep quilters from their tools!) and made this little clutch. It is perfect for putting a few spools of thread, some scissors, and a small block together to take with me wherever I go. The gathered clutch pattern is online from Noodlehead. It was pretty easy to make - except I haven't put a zipper in anything in years!
The hearts table runner also is finished! All set for next Valentines day! It is based on Moda's Heart to Heart Fellowship table runner. I just love it!
Also, I spent some time Saturday morning before going to a local antique show with my husband, putting the next batch of Sweet Hearts together.
This little embroidery picture hangs in our house. I think it is time to stitch!!!!!!
Happy Stitching!
Deb
