Giving Thanks - Quilter's Blog' Hop Party!

http://quiltinggallery.com/

The Quilting Gallery is having a Blog Hop with Give-Aways and I have decided to participate!!!  The Blog Hop will start today and will run until November 26.  So join the fun and you might win some give-aways!

If you are not familiar with the Quilting Gallery, here you can meet thousands of quilters from around the world in the quilting bloggers directory.  Browse the quilt shop locator, a unique map-based directory of quilting retailers and professionals.  Find connections in the world-wide directory of quilt guilds and search for the latest in quilting books, patterns and notions in the quilters market.

They also host quilt show-n-tells and lots of freebies!

Now I'm new to this.. so bear with me!  But I hope you join the fun!

Give-Aways!
I will be giving away prizes to two lucky blog hoppers as my Thank You for participating!
The first is a beautiful pattern by Nancy Odom called Joanna's Pumpkins & Pomegranates.  Perfect for the season and perfect for all the appliquers out there!  This finished quilt measures 57 1/2" x 57 1/2".  I am also giving away this stack of fall scraps.  These are big scraps - most almost a full fat quater and one is a full fat quarter.  The polka dot piece is the smallest, but I thought it looked perfect with this group so I decided to include it.
The second give-away are two of my most popular patterns, Tuscany Tile Fish and Sea Gem.  Both are raw edge applique and pieced wall quilts.  These will appeal to the art quilters out there or anyone interested in learning how to do raw edge applique.  Once the center piece is glued together, the quilt is appliqued and quilted in one step.  Lots of fun and lots of creativity!

How to Enter, How to Win!
Leave a comment below.  One entry per person.  Duplicate entries will be deleted.  The two winners will be randomly selected.  I will email the winners on November 27.  Good luck!

  1. My holiday tradition is since 5 years to start a special new quilt. In 2012 during Christmas holiday I started with the quilt The circle game. And now it is almost finished, just some more quilting and putting on a label. Than i can think about the quilt that I'd like to start in 2013: the Caswell quilt??? So my target is one big quilt a year starting around Christmas.

  2. Hi, Debra! I love, love, love your blog, because we have a lot in common and our likes are very similar. I am an avid needle-turn applique enthusiast and have made several of the same quilts as you. Love Blackbird Designs and Kim Diehl. I had already purchased A Bountiful Life before I saw that you are making it too. ONE of my favorite holiday traditions is to make hand-made Christmas ornaments for my family, friends and co-workers (each year a different design). Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Eileen

  3. My favorite holiday tradition is our Christmas stockings. Everyone in the family has felt stockings made to match the one made for me when I was a baby - over 50 years ago. A new granddaughter just joined the family so I will be getting to work on hers soon. My grown children still say that it wouldn't be Christmas without filling the stockings!

  83. My family has always celebrated Christmas dinner on the Sunday before Christmas ever since I was a little girl and cried because my Dad took me out of the pile of boxes I'd built after opening my Christmas gifts. I cried all through the entire meal, I choked, and would not eat. Mom was flustered since she wanted to eat the meal while it was hot, and of course I was too little to understand any of that. So Mom solved the problem and from then on She would fix full Christmas dinner on the Sunday before Christmas, and would bake a ham the night before Christmas so anyone could eat whenever they were hungry on Christmas. We were always all together, so that was never a problem. We invited friends to join for morning oyster stew breakfast, then shared gifts between them, and then after everyone left, we got what we wanted for dinner, and opened stockings after dinner. Opening stockings later in the day makes it feel like there are two Christmases on one day. It's still a favorite of mine.
